Thank you for recently completing a telephone interview in application to the Westpac graduate program. We wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for your patience in this process and to give you an update on the status of your application. As you can imagine, by the time you reach the phone interview stage, you are one of a group of high caliber shortlisted candidates. The reason for this email is to keep you informed of where we are in the process so that, in the event you receive an offer from another organisation, you are in the best position to make an informed choice.
At this stage all of the shortlisted candidates for the program to which you have applied have received an invitation to attend the next stage in the assessment process - the assessment centre. Those who we are not progressing have received an email to confirm this. Currently, you have been shortlisted to be offered a position at the Assessment centre in the event that we increase the number of positions we have on offer or candidates withdraw their applications. We think you are a strong applicant and are committed to offering you a position in these circumstances.
Thank you for your patience. We would prefer to inform you of your current status so as you fully understand where you are in this process rather than waiting with no information. You will find out either way on whether your application will be progressed to the assessment centre by close of business Wednesday, 12th May, 2010.
